Public spaces at Shopping Driespoort
In designing the public spaces we took in account the pure functional elements as parking and the expriences of the users. As the project is in an non-conventional form using several seperated volumes that encompass the retail funtions and habitation we chose to interconnect these with twoo experience and relax areas for the retail clients. This way the visitors are able to fluently stroll between the shops and safely combine vehicule circulation and parking with pedestriand Circulation.
In the design we have given great thought to introducing a light plan and tree planting.
This way we have consolidated all the basic elements to create a open space with a relaxed and domestic feel.
This carefully designed micro-enviroment combined with a integrated water management system gives a benificial impact on both site biodivercity and the lager enviromental factors.
